Purchasing Land In Anguilla
The Aliens Landholding Regulation Act (RSA Chapter A55) requires that every person or corporation under foreign control or incorporated in a foreign country must obtain a Licence in order to hold any interest in land in Anguilla.
A corporation is deemed to be under foreign control if a director is a non- belonger or a non-belonger owns more than one-third of the shares.
An Alien Land Holding Licence allows an approved purchaser to buy a clearly identified parcel of property for generally defined purposes, the primary areas of use being either residential or tourism development.
